George Joseph Toschlog

  General Notes:

Joseph was 27 years old and Kate was 24 yrs. old when George was born. George had a Requiem Mass said at 10 a.m., May 1, 1968 at St. Andrew's Church.
HE was a feed saleman, farmer, coon hunter, liked to joke and cut up, enjoyed kids of all ages. Remember the famous banjo tickle? (He'd put you on his lap, raise your arm and tickle you like he was playing the banjo.) He and Bernadette had a Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1961 at the YMI in Richmond.

George married Bernadette Anne Piening, daughter of Living and Living, on 11 Jan 1911 in St. Andrew's, Richmond, IN. (Bernadette Anne Piening was born on 29 May 1890 in Wayne County, IN, died on 20 Jan 1970 and was buried in St. Andrew's Cemetary, Richmond, IN.)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage license has her signature Bernadette Piening, Book #4 Dec. 1910 - Sept 1911 pg. 91 Court House at Wayne Co. Have been told it was spelled Phening.
