Anna died at 9:30 A.M. on a Saturday, at 48 yrs. 7 m 7 d. from a lifelong illness.
**The Sunday Richmond-Item, 11-25-1917 lists (note spellings) - Mrs. Annie Sydilla Toschlag taken ill while shopping and passes away in hospital. Suddenly stricken ill at noon yesterday while in the city shopping, 48 year-old lady residing 4 miles northeast of Richmond, died at 9:30 o'clock last night at Reid Hospital. She was taken ill while in the grocery store of A. Cutter, 401 S. 4th St. from where she was rushed to the hospital, at which institution she was given medical attention but to no avail. Mrs. Toschlag has been in declining health for some time, but her condition was not considered as serious. Death was caused by uraemic poisoning. Mrs. Toschlag is survived by her husband, Henry B. Toschlag; two sons, Henry, and Albert Toschlag, two daughters, Mrs. Earl Stephens, of Center twp., Mrs. William Gregg, of Wayne twp., three sisters, Mrs. Herman Linz of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Albert Tillen, of Centerville, and Mrs. George Stiloh, of Richmond, three brothers, Joseph Schlangen, Charles Schlangen, and Edward Schlangen, all of Richmond, and five grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Friends may call anytime at the home. Tues. 11-27-1917 -- 10 o'clock at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Rev. F.A. Roell officiating.
